For Rent By Owner Signs

Have you seen one of these signs lately? Keep your eyes open. For Rent By Owner signs can be a good lead source, especially for Creative Financing (lease options, owner financing).

How to Take Action:

• Take a pic of the property & the sign
• Get the address to write down, type in notes, or enter into your Real Estate CRM
• Search the address online to see what info maybe on Zillow or other RE listing sites.
• Call the owner/landlord and ask them to tell you about the property (listen)
• After they've shared, let them know it sounds nice. Ask if they would consider a lease with the option to buy?
• If Yes, let them know you'd like to speak to them more about it after you speak to your partner and of course come take a look
• If No, ask is it ok to follow up with them in case they change their mind. Mark your calendar to follow up.
